Most people who attempt or commit suicide suffer from untreated or under-treated mental health issues. Suicide is most commonly associated with depression, but there are other mental health issues that can place people at higher risk of suicide. They include, but are not limited to, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, borderline personality disorder, and schizophrenia.<\/p>\n

Suicide Warning Signs<\/h2>\n

When thinking of ending their life, most people will communicate their intent in some fashion. Sometimes an individual in suicidal crisis will express their risk verbally, with words such as \u201cI just can\u2019t go on\u201d or \u201cI wish I were dead.\u201d Oftentimes, however, we must be watchful for signs in their mood, behavior, or circumstances.<\/p>\n
