Earn your Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) degree TUITION-FREE!<\/h4>\n<p>Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) are invited to apply for one of 15 <em>Project SEND <\/em>scholarships to 做厙勛圖\u2019s LPN to ASN program. This highly selective <a href=\"https:\/\/nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com\/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbhw.hrsa.gov%2Ffunding%2Fapply-grant%2Fnepqr-prnp-fy-2023-awards&amp;data=05%7C01%7Cmmarrone%40rivier.edu%7C42087c7bbedc41ff750f08dbce6baab7%7Cdccb0025a24245ad9935c57796e0399a%7C1%7C0%7C638330734034200552%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&amp;sdata=pPxf4YtB7o4m6brOrD1v9g6JQ102eAQfVlyQYzY%2FgJM%3D&amp;reserved=0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grant is one of only nine<\/a> Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention grants awarded by HRSA nationally in 2023. Annual grant distributions over the next four years will fund 45 full-tuition scholarship awards in 2024-26 and 15 partial-tuition awards in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>Grant funds will support LPNs from diverse backgrounds and underserved communities to pursue ASN degrees, fulfilling the educational requirement to become RNs.<\/p>\n<p><em>Project SEND <\/em>scholarships will eliminate the financial challenge of a college degree for motivated students. Scholarship recipients will receive full tuition, fees, books, uniforms, an iPad, NCLEX-RN prep course, and a stethoscope to complete an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) program, which is a prerequisite to licensure as a registered nurse. Classes are held evenings, and, whenever possible, students are given the choice of a weekday or weekend clinical, enabling students to continue to work while pursuing their degree.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivier.edu\/academics\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/19\/2023\/10\/ProjectSEND_PromoFlyer_10.6.23.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Learn more about Project SEND and Rivier&#8217;s LPN to ASN degree program.<\/a><\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>University Admission Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Standard nursing program admission requirements apply. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rivier.edu\/admissions\/professional-studies-admissions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">View requirements.<\/a><\/p>\n<h4><strong>LPN to ASN Program Advanced Standing<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Applicants may be granted advanced placement into the LPN to ASN Program contingent upon:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>proof of unencumbered LPN licensure;<\/li>\n<li><span> <\/span>a review of their LPN curriculum;<\/li>\n<li>a score of 69 or above on the Nursing Acceleration Challenge Exam (NACE 1.2).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>TEAS and SAT scores are not required for the LPN to ASN program.<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h3><strong>Scholarship Requirements<\/strong><\/h3>\n<h4><strong>Scholarship Criteria<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In addition to fulfilling admission and the advanced standing requirements outlined above, applicants must:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>hold a current, unencumbered LPN license;<\/li>\n<li>be a U.S. citizen or resident;<\/li>\n<li>be a member of an environmentally or economically disadvantaged population. HRSA considers the following to be eligible who meet at least two of the criteria below:\n<ul>\n<li>Were or currently are homeless, as defined by the <a
